NID Entrance Exam is conducted by National Institute of Design (NID) which is internationally acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. It is an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and is recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.


NID offers professional education programmes at undergraduate and post Graduate level with five faculty stream and 18 diverse design domains.

 

  • Bachelor of design (B.Design) of 4 years duration for students after 10+2 or equivalent like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC at Ahmedabad
  • Master of design (M.Design) of 2 ½ years duration for graduates from various domains specific to each discipline at Ahmedabad
  • Graduate Diploma Programme in design  of 4 years duration for students 10+2 or equivalent like AISSCE/IB/ISC at Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhyapradesh & Assam.

The Final marks of the candidate appearing for the BDes/GDPD programme of the National Institute of Design, will be determined based on the weightages of the marks obtained in the DAT Prelims and DAT Mains as follows:
