About NATA Entrance Exam


National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is an Entrance exam
conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA) for admission to 5-year Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch) degree course offered by Institutes / Schools/ Architecture colleges in India.

The test is conducted to measure an applicant's aptitude for architecture, drawing skills, Observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity & critical thinking ability.

12th or PUC students who are desirous of taking admission to undergraduate couse in architecture are required to pass this test. 

Since 2019 NATA Exam is being conducted twice a year. Candiadates can appear in both the exam, however only the best of marks will be considered.

NATA Eligibility Criteria


Every candidate must fulfil following eligibilty criteria for writing NATA entrance exam.

  • Age Limit - No Age Limit
  • Subjects - Candiates must be compulsory pursuing MPC (Math, Physics & Chemistry)
  • Qualifications - Candiates should be 12th passed from a recognised board.
  • Marks - Candidates must score atleast 50% marks in Math, Physics & Chemistry (MPC) & atleast 50% marks in aggregate in 12th class. There is a 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC - NCL Category or PWD (Person witha disability)
  • Diploma - candidates must pass 10+3 diploma examination with math as a compulsory subject scoring atleast 50% marks in aggregate. 

Admission Process



Students have to submit their exam scores along with HSC/ 12th Class/ PUC Mark lists to respective state CET cells on or before the deas lines set by them.

Important - students should keep in mind that usuallly CET Cells of diiderant states sets differant deadline date for the submission of NATA scores to them for shortlisting  the candidates for counselling of B.Arch Seats. So the Students should have the knowledge of these deadline dates  &  plan NATA exam accordingly.
